Crafties Code of Conduct
Being a Craftie is like wearing a badge of honour
Conscious Crafties is a very unique craft marketplace. Our Crafties Code of Conduct must always reflect our ethos and a positive, supportive community is essential to help and encourage each and every one of us to be successful. In order to uphold our code of conduct we ask that everyone adhere to the following:

Our Crafties Code of Conduct must always reflect our ethos and a positive, supportive community is essential to help and encourage each and every one of us to be successful. In order to uphold our code of conduct we ask that everyone adhere to the following:
1. KEEP OUR SECRETS
Our Crafties Club is somewhere for people to open up. Everything discussed in here must be kept between Crafties. What’s said in Crafties Club stays in Crafties Club. ????
2. BE HONEST
A huge part of Conscious Crafties is showing the world our talents and raising awareness of our illnesses or caring situation, honesty is therefore crucial to our customers and community.
3. BE SUPPORTIVE & KIND
As we’re all dealing with daily struggles, when interacting with fellow Crafties (either in our Crafties Club, social media, private messages, phone call or face to face) please communicate in a supportive, kind and non-discriminatory manner. No racist, sexist or hateful content. No defamation of others or of Conscious Crafties.
4. BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SUCCESS
We challenge you to immerse yourself in everything that’s on offer here in our Crafties Club. Conscious Crafties is here to empower you to create a wildly successful business! We can all advise and support you but ultimately creating sales and becoming that wildly successful business is in your hands. Making beautiful things is only part of the process, networking, promoting and running a business etc are all important too. You will find lots of helpful topics in our Business Hub.
5. BE RESPECTFUL
Please don’t use our Crafties Club or Crafties Handmade Marketplace Facebook group to promote products for sale on other platforms (eg Etsy, Facebook page). Please support the site by shouting loud and proud about Conscious Crafties (you are of course welcome to sell anywhere).
You’re welcome to share your Facebook pages for a charity or giveaway event only.
6. BUY VIA THE WEBSITE
When buying from fellow Crafties, please purchase via ConsciousCrafties.com. This ensures you have protection through Paypal and allows you to leave feedback, building up your fellow Crafties shop presence and boosting their spirits.
7. NO BEGGING
Don’t abuse the empathy of Crafties by asking for monetary help or sales within our groups. Crafties are by nature empathetic people and feel these ‘tugs on heartstrings’.
8. NO SWEARING OR RANTING
It’s more positive to ask for advice and support.
9. NO POLITICS OR RELIGION
Don’t discuss these sensitive topics in our groups.
BROKEN CODE OF CONDUCT?
We ask that all Crafties abide by the above and help to keep our community safe. If you see fellow Crafties breaking our rules, please remind them of our Crafties Code of Conduct. If you have been unable to resolve between yourselves, please email [email protected]. The dispute will be handled by an external company. If it is found that someone is behaving in a way that damages the rules created by Conscious Crafties, to keep our community a safe and supportive place, it may result in their shop being suspended or closed and removal from our Crafties Club.
Things you can’t sell
Copyright (when things aren’t your own design) or Trademark items (branded items eg Disney)
*Cosmetics/skin care products or food
(unless you can provide safety and/or hygiene certificates)
*Toys or items that children might want to play with e.g. teddy bear keyring
(unless you’ve self certified at home)
Things you have bought and not made yourself
(unless you have used love and talent to up cycle)
Porn, knives, guns, bombs, nuclear missiles…etc 😉
*PLEASE NOTE: It is the seller’s responsibility to ensure products are tested accordingly and are also not Trademarked or Copyrighted. Conscious Crafties is not to be held responsible. If you live OUTSIDE THE EU and only intend to sell to your OWN COUNTRY, you may be able to sell Beauty Products, Food or Toys without safety certificates due to different laws.
Termination
Termination By You. We’d hate to see you go, but you may close your shop at any time from your shop settings in the payment tab. Please note after submitting the ‘close my shop’ form you will no longer have access to your seller account and will no longer be able to view order history or communicate with buyers. Conscious Crafties cannot reactivate or reinstate closed accounts. So if you want to sell on Conscious Crafties in the future, you will need to reapply for a shop.
Termination By Conscious Crafties. We may terminate or suspend your seller account and your access to our services at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice. If we do so, it’s important to understand that you don’t have a contractual or legal right to continue to use our services. Conscious Crafties reserves the right to change, suspend, or discontinue any of the services at any time, for any reason. We will not be liable to you for the effect that any changes to the services may have on you, including your income, investment in marketing materials or your ability to generate revenue through the services.
