Fancy fossil pendant is uniquely different, using bryozoan fossil, which are yozoans, organisms that live in warm, shallow marine waters. They are often fossilised by infilling and replacement with quartz or calcite. These materials can be polished into attractive gems.
I have then used silver fill wire, completely different to silver plated, as it 10% sterling silver magically bonded onto a copper core, I say magically as I don’t know how it’s done! But it means it can be treated in the same way as silver, ie hammered, soldered etc, so I’ve used it to create a beautiful silver colour bail, which compliments the fossil perfectly I think.
The bryozoan fossil has such a pretty lace pattern.
