Shibori ribbon elephant necklace. This beautiful elephant necklace is made with freshwater pearls, shibori ribbon and a real emerald headdress.
Shibori ribbon is a lovely silk fabric, that is hand dyed (not by me lol) in a traditional Japanese way. Each and every single bead is individually stitched on, sometimes doubly if a slightly heavier bead. The necklace is finished off on the back with ultra suede for comfort.
These necklaces really are a labour of love. From the designing and planning through to the final stitch can take weeks up to months. Definitely a ooak.
The necklace as a whole measures 21 inches. the actual elephant measures just over 5 inches by 5 inches. A statement piece.
The necklace will be supplied in an organza bag, due to the size and shape.
