I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 7 months pregnant with my second child.
I am fortunate that over the years my condition has stabilised, which enables me to work full time as a social worker, however I am very aware that stress and exhaustion are my main triggers for seizures. I have found that sewing enables me to‘switch off’ at the end of the day which I believe has significantly reduced the risk of seizures.
