Hi i’m Carol. I’m a lone parent to an amazing 21 year old son who has Autism & Aspergers.
I worked in Social Care all my adult life until I became severely Depressed after personal life events that continue to cause me Anxiety today. First and foremost I’m a Mum and I love being with my son, but I’ve lost confidence in myself along the way, being unable to go out to work due to anxiety leaves me isolated and feeling without purpose.
On a positive note I started Needle felting as a hobby and gradually getting better at it with encouragement from friends to join ‘Conscious Crafties’ as they thought my creations were good enough to sell.
My hope is my confidence and feelings of self worth will be improved and I’ll meet some lovely friends along the way through this group and in a supportive, non judgemental environment.
If I’m fortunate enough to sell any of my little creations, it will be a confidence boost to my self esteem and help cover the cost of materials.
