We now understand a lot more about the whole cycle of human reproduction, how it works, and why it sometimes doesn’t. Infertility research can help to discover the difficulties that may lie in the way of a couple conceiving, and there are many things that can be done to enhance the chances of pregnancy, from ovulation prediction to IVF.
And, as in ancient times, today’s woman can also harness these ancient spiritual beliefs, using the same Gemstones that women down the ages have believed to enhance fertility, affect the female cycle, induce hormonal changes and overcome problems in conception and pregnancy.
However, sometimes no medical impediment can be found, it just doesn’t seem to happen, which is why I created this Baby Maker Gemstone Bracelet, to support those undergoing assisted conception procedures such as IVF, IUI or fertility treatments to enable them to begin the journey to Parenthood.
IVF has come a long way since the first ‘test tube baby’ and many couples today can thank this breakthrough for their families.
Nowadays available procedures read more like Alphabet Soup than family planning, with a variety of interventions from IUI, IVF, IVM, ICSI, to IMSI.
However, undergoing fertility treatment can be expensive for those facing the prospect of repeated cycles, as well as taking its toll on a couple both physically and emotionally.
It can leave you drained and exhausted, overwhelmed with conflicting emotions as your body goes through the preparations required to prepare for the harvesting, conception and successful transfer and subsequent pregnancy.
Those going down the IVF route will already have a huge collection of medication to address hormones, regulate the menstrual cycle etc, which can be backed up with gemstones that our ancestors associated with regulating the menstrual cycle or balancing hormones.
This Gemstone bracelet features a carefully selected combination of crystals, traditionally associated with the female reproductive system, as your body prepares itself for pregnancy and giving the implanted embryo the best chance of survival.
There are a number of different gemstones that have long been associated with fertility and the whole process of birth, however I am afraid that Etsy regulations mean that I can no longer detail the specific properties that each gemstone is believed to offer. I am happy to discuss your specific requirements should you wish, and we can work together to decide which would be the most suitable gemstones for you.
If you aren’t able to give details, because the bracelet is for someone else or because you’re uncomfortable discussing details, then I am happy to intuitively select those I feel most meet your needs.
These variables, of course, mean that no two bracelets will look alike, each being tailored exactly to the customer’s needs. If you really dislike any specific gem or colour, then I will of course attempt to achieve the same result without their use, just let me know.
The bracelets are made to order, so I can accommodate any specific requirement.
Your bracelet will come with an information leaflet and full description of the properties of each gemstone.
Some of the Gemstones I like to use in this bracelet are listed below, although I generally prefer not to use more than 3 or 4 gemstones in one bracelet, as I feel that too many stones look muddled and overdone, however I will use however many stones that you may require.

Creating Your Bracelet
Each bracelet consists of semi precious gemstone beads, with spacer beads defining each group of gemstones (Design style A)
I use Swarovski type spacers, as the multi faceted nature of them reflects and augments the gemstones, although should you prefer, small silver plated or hematite spacers can be substituted, or omitted entirely, just let me know when you place your order.
Additionally, I now also offer the same gemstones laid out in a repeating pattern, (Design Style B). Both of these design styles can be seen in the last photo. If you require this option, simply add that you would like design B, otherwise I will use the regular Design Style A.
Your bracelet can be made in one of 2 ways to suit your preferences and lifestyle. Please read the descriptions below then select either your size of adjustable bracelet from the drop down menu, or choose memory wire (one standard size) or Elastic (S, M, L)
Option 1
Your bracelet can be made on non stretch beading thread, with a lobster
claw or toggle closure. These bracelets are adjustable, but can be made to fit perfectly.
Prices vary according to size, as larger bracelets require more gemstones.

Option 2
Your bracelet can be created using a single coil of memory wire, which keeps its more rigid circular shape, and gives a look rather like a bangle. It gives a very delicate, dainty look to the bracelet, and is probably more suited to a female wrist.
This bracelet will fasten with a toggle, magnetic or lobster clasp with extender chain.
Due to the pre-set diameter of the memory wire, this bracelet comes in just one size that expands to fit your wrist, with the aid of a small extender chain. See final photo for an example of memory wire.
Finally, you can choose a cute baby themed charm, such as a pram, a teddy bear or tiny baby feet. Or you might prefer an ancient spiritual charm, such as the fertility goddess or the playful, flute playing fertility god, kokopelli.
If you would rather not announce your intention to the world just yet, then a more subtle charm such as the turtle, traditionally a symbol of long life and abundant fertility, can be added instead, or perhaps my favourite, a butterfly, a symbol of growth, birth and change, it was also believed that a butterfly represents the soul of a baby waiting to be born, searching for a prospective mother.

Please note, however, that the charms listed with this bracelet are NOT available in Sterling Silver, although I can source a limited range of sterling silver charms, please ask me for details.
All of my bracelets are lovingly created with intent, then charged with Reiki for an additional boost.
They are gently placed into an organza bag, with a descriptive card and an information leaflet detailing each gemstone, its properties, and how to care for them.
Finally, this is beautifully wrapped in tissue paper and ribbon, ready for you to unwrap your fabulous bracelet!

Please Note: I do not stock ready made items that can be shipped immediately, as everything in my shop is hand made to order. When you purchase this item, you are commissioning a custom made, bespoke bracelet, created exactly to your requirements, so I can happily accommodate most requests or changes.
However, this does mean that your order can take up to 10-14 working days for me to design and create, even before shipping, so please be aware of this time scale when placing your order.
Additionally, your item enters my ‘work queue’ once payment has cleared. Unfortunately, payments made directly to Etsy take much longer to clear than Paypal or credit cards via Paypal, which are both instant. For this reason, I prefer Paypal, as your order can be put into my work schedule immediately.
Unlike some unscrupulous or often uninformed sellers, I will never use synthetic or imitation gemstones in my jewellery. Consequently, I am sometimes unable to source specific genuine gemstones (eg Malachite) at a price that will not impact greatly on the cost of your item. In these cases, rather than use synthetic or imitation stones, I use alternatives with similar properties.
Occasionally, a few very pale gemstones are colour enhanced, which does not affect their meanings and properties.
