The colour base of the card is white and is A5 in size.
The front flap has been cut narrower than normal so that the handmade key charm sits a little behind it. The background papers tuck behind the flap – but there is ample room to write a message. The key has been made from pearly gold card, with a little gold half pearl – matted on black card and it raised on the card. There is a wrap of ribbon and a big heart brad ribbon does not actually hold the key – it is fixed in place. The lock has been made form several shaped layers of hand coloured card. It is set onto a hand cut and shaped heart which has been inked – and matted with a red card. There are 3 little red ‘nail head’ style embellishments on the base. The heart is set onto a patterned paper with ‘nail head’ embellishments in the corners.
The greeting is hand scribed in a sepia ink on to a hand cut heart white tag and reads ‘You hold the key to my heart’ – it has been layered to match the main image – with little gold half pearls in the corner – and set flat on the card.
All my cards are unique, one off pieces of art, completed and ready to post out to you. They come with a plain inner for you to write your own message on and a plain envelope for you to present the card to the recipient.
