This unusual fused glass pendant would make a wonderful gift or a treat to yourself.
I have made the pendant with orange and green Dichroic glass on a base layer of black and, to add depth to the piece, I have topped with clear glass, It was then fused in my kiln. There is a clear section of glass at the left side of the pendant, I think this adds interest to the piece .
Instead of gluing a bail to the back of the pendant, I have drilled a hole and used a silver plated pinch bail, this is then hung from a silver plated chain with a length, including the silver plated lobster clasp and jump ring fastener, of approximately 16.5 inches/ 42 cm
From the top of the pinch bail, to the bottom of the glass is approximately 4.5 cm, with the actual pendant measuring just over 3 cm in length.
**To help prevent tarnishing, the necklace should be kept out of the open air when not being worn.
Please note, due to monitor settings, colours may appear different in real life. **

I have Cystic Fibrosis and Type 2 Diabetes. I spend a lot of time in hospital which, as you can imagine, gets very boring, crafting has really saved me from climbing up the walls! I got into making jewellery in 2008, I was having a very bad time with my health and had been stuck in hospital a few weeks when I saw an article in the newspaper about a lady who made her own jewellery, I happened to mention that I would love to do something like that to my friend.. a few days later a supply of beads and a “How to Make Jewellery” book was delivered to the ward…I was hooked from then on. I have so much to thank my friend for. Since then I have made and sold a few pieces, mainly to family and friends. I have also branched out and have started to make fused glass pendants. I am definitely in love with glass making! Having C.F. makes things really difficult, it can be unpredictable, some days I am fine and up and about having adventures but other days see me stuck in a hospital bed, finding it hard to breathe and hooked up to oxygen. Still, I try not to let it get me down and crafting has certainly helped to keep me going. I make jewellery, necklaces and bracelets and also fused glass objects. I’m concentrating on pendants for now but I have also made coasters and dishes. I also love to crochet but I am terrible at finishing a project, I’ll start one and then some other wooly goodness will come along to tempt me away!
