Summer Garden is designed, created and unique to Created by Sue.

I have hand embroidered this piece using lots of Summer coloured threads onto a beige cotton background in a circular shape to make the design stand out. The flowers kind of  remind me of lupins in a colourful flower border. The sun is just breaking through the clouds and it promises to be a beautiful Summer day, so why not spend it in the garden?

This original piece of miniature embroidered art is set in a 4″ wooden hoop which will have white ribbon attached to enable you to hang it on a wall. I have finished off the back of the hoop with a hand stitched felt circle using a colour to compliment the main art work. This one of a kind piece of art would also make an ideal gift.

Please have a look at all my other unique and original designs – my shop is full of eclectic makes, some quirky, some traditional but all made with attention to detail and most importantly – love.

  1. When I was a teenager, I suffered my first panic attack. Thinking they were protecting me, my parents wrapped me up in cotton wool and tried to make life easier for me. I now know, that had they made me face my fears at the time (public transport/crowds), I probably would have coped better. Instead I suffered for years, trying to avoid situations where I would put myself under undue stress. Following counselling in my 30’s, I learnt to accept and embrace my ‘wobblies’ and since then, they have become fewer over the years – they still creep up on me though on occasions, but I’m not afraid of them any more.

In 2011, I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer and subsequently had my thyroid removed. Although the cancer has gone, I am still undergoing annual check ups at our local hospital as unlike other cancers, you never get completely discharged if it’s Thyroid Cancer. It has recently been confirmed that I have Fibromyalgia and I suffer with all the daily struggles that this awful disease brings with it. Following my thyroid removal, I have gone on to develop Osteoarthritis.

Despite all my problems, I count myself as being lucky as there are others far worse off than me. I love to craft whenever I can and I hope you enjoy looking at my products.
