Ammonites are perhaps the most widely known fossil, possessing the typically ribbed spiral-form shell. These creatures lived in the seas between 240 – 65 million years ago, when they became extinct along with the dinosaurs. The name ‘ammonite’ originates from the Greek Ram-horned god called Ammon. Ammonites belong to a group of predators known as cephalopods, which includes their living relatives, the octopus, squid, cuttlefish, and nautilus.
The silver in my pieces come under the exemption weight, which is less than 7.78g, so therefore, they don’t require a hallmark. Anything over 7.78g, requires a hallmark by law.

I started jewellery making back in 2010. It was a way of coping after I lost my Dad. Sadly losing my Dad took its toll on my health, and I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression.
I was diagnosed with chronic sinusitis back in 2010, after suffering facial pain and various infections. This flares up from time to time.
In 2014, I started getting severe lower back and leg pain, and after lots of physio and an mri, it confirmed that I have degenerative disc disease. Sadly there is no cure for this. After having various medications to help control my pain, this has now affected my stomach, and I now have ongoing inflammation of the stomach, and I am very limited to what I can eat and drink. This affects me every day as I can no longer take pain relief for my back, or any other illnesses.
My underactive thyroid was diagnosed in 2019.
2022 I was diagnosed with Gilbert’s syndrome after my blood tests kept showing elevated bilirubin levels. This is linked to the liver. Unfortunately this is incurable and untreatable.
