Order Note

Description

I make these bookmarks by recycling unused Jamberry nail wraps. I cut each design my hand before sealing with a glass cabochon.

The design also allows them to be used as placeholder, particular useful when following knitting and cross stitch instructions. Each is mounted onto strong card, ideal for popping into the post.

I have suffered with Anxiety and Depression on and off for most of my adult life. At times I have managed to hold down a full time job, other times I’ve been unable to leave the house. Picking up a piece of knitting or crochet has always soothed my worries and it is only in recent years that I have become aware of the health effects of craft.

Summer 2017 my Asthma became worse, I started getting chest pain and my heart was racing. Blood tests showed that I was deficient in B12. I started on injections and they helped but when they are due I get such bad brain fog I can’t follow a pattern. That’s when my cutting and sticking started. I use scraps of my Jamberry nail wraps to make jewellery, craft notions etc.

Crafting helps soothe my anxiety, but also if I’m doing something I don’t feel so guilty on the days when I’m so fatigued I need to rest if I have something in my hand.
