Serpentine Wire Weave Pendant

Until 2013, I was your typical young adult; working, partying, running a dance class, studying.

Then I got sick. I caught a bout of gastroenteritis which had me bed bound and so poorly for 2 weeks. Eventually the illness went away, but I didnt get better.

After years of pleading with doctors and being dismissed, I was eventually referred to a specialist who told me that I had fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, and that also my lower spine was damaged.

It shook me up for sure! I was so tired all the time and in so so so much pain!

Recently I turned to art as a tool to help me get out of myself for a while. I’d always loved art, but it wasn’t high on my priority list as I was so determined to become a teacher or something.

But working with resin has really helped me to loosen up a little. To relax and try new things. To roll with the punches.

I love spending my spoons in the studio working on new projects and ideas to bring a bit of joy and happiness to as many people as possible!
