Moomy’s Loft is a family run micro business based in the North East of England.

Tara (thats me) is the master maker whilst eldest daughter Julia, helps with the tech and product scrutiny and youngest, Macey comes with an abundance of eco inspiration and entrepreneurial spirit! Husband Mark also chips in, especially with the sea glass collecting and more importantly, making the tea!

I hand make all of our products at home from sustainably sourced new and up-cycled fabrics and from sea glass collected from our local beaches or other holiday destinations across the UK.

I love a bit of up-cycling or repurposing of our fabric finds and always have new, unique and one off products to market.

Our natural environment is very important to me and we are always looking for ways to care for it better. Macey is our eco warrior, always challenging us to do better and to invest in endangered animal sponsorships!

Our name?
Moomy was the silly nickname we used for Macey when she was a baby and when I was on maternity leave, trying to find a better way of balancing Diabetes, motherhood and a career, we renovated the loft space to create a craft room.
I have always loved to sew from an early age so spending time with Macey, in the loft creating cute baby wear became a favourite pastime and allowed me a bit more flexibility to care for myself!

And there was born Moomys Loft!

Please enjoy!
