In 2013 my husband and I were arranging to get married.  During this time I noticed that I was getting more and more tired and was getting severe pains all over my body. At the time I was working and entitled to private medical. I went for a number of appointments scans etc and was eventually diagnosed with fibromyalgia and arthritis in my ankles and all down my spine. As I have always been quite creative is decided to make all the items for our wedding including invitations, table numbers and table plans, even the gifts. My condition worsened and in 2015 I had bariatric surgery. I have lost 8 stone in total so far which has helped a little and I no longer need to use my crutches all the time but the pains are still a nightmare. In July 2015 after complications after my surgery and being in pain or very sleepy most days, I had to quit work. Since our wedding right up to when I quit work, I was still crafting wedding items and loving it and I still continue to do so now. Being able to still do this has changed my last life. I can now do the things I love when I can and my body lets me.
