When I was in my 20’s I suffered with crippling anxiety (General Anxiety Disorder) as well as a type of OCD – not the one that gets stuff clean and organised, this one means I’m overwhelmed by the amount or size of a task that I end up planning how to do it (and covering every eventuality) and not actually managing to carry it out. Oddly enough this has never affected my crafting or business, just the piles of ironing and half finished diy around the house!
More recently my teenage son started to suffer with panic attacks and had several suicide attempts. I’m a single mum and my others kids have left home so it was a daily worry if he would be ok. This set off my anxieties again and I was having to take time off work for one or other of us. I finally gave in last summer and decided that our mental health had to come before the well paid job.
We are both on the road to recovery and my son has started a college that really supports him. I don’t think I am ready, or want to, return to employment. I want a simpler life of creativity and making memories. Of doing something I love and trying to make a living out of it.

To process your order and to fulfil your contract with us, your information is shared with third parties for the purpose of delivery (Royal Mail and courier services). We use a third party to process personal data on our behalf if you have chosen to subscribe to our newsletter. It may be shared for compliance with legal, regulatory and law enforcement requests as appropriate and necessary. I will endeavour to notify you of any such requests. I am not responsible for how these third parties process your data, please visit their websites to read their privacy policies. 6.0 HOW I SECURE, STORE AND RETAIN DATA We use Conscious Crafties website to trade and complete your purchase. Your data is secured, stored and retained by Conscious Crafties to complete your purchase. We do not hold hard copies of your data and any data collected is held only as long as is necessary to carry out your order and to maintain adequate and accurate business and financial records (7 years). 7.0 HOW YOU CAN ACCESS, UPDATE OR DELETE INFORMATION HELD ABOUT YOU You have the right to access, update or ask us to delete your personal information. Please email our Data Controller found in section 9.0 below. We are obliged by law to provide this service within 30 calendar days of your request free of charge. However, we have the right to refuse or charge for requests that are manifestly unfounded or excessive and repetitive. 8.0 DATA BREACHES We will report any unlawful data breach to any and all relevant persons and authorities within 72 hours of the breach, if it is apparent that personal data stored in an identifiable manner has been stolen. If you are not totally in love with your item, I operate a 14 day money back guarantee (excluding custom or personalised items that cannot easily be resold). My policy cover items you have bought from me in a sale or at full price. Please contact me via my Contact Craftie button (on any product page in my shop) within 14 days of receiving your item, indicating if you would like an exchange or refund. Please include date and details of your order. If you wish to return your item, you will be notified of where to send it. Unless the item is faulty, you’re responsible for return postage costs. Once your return is received and inspected, you will receive an email to notify you that your item has been received. If requesting a refund, your Paypal account will be credited within 2 days. If you have chosen to receive an exchange, on receipt of the returned item, a replacement item will be made. In the unlikely event your item needs to be repaired, you’ll be informed how long this will take.
