I use all types of materials in my mosaics. This Peace Sign contains recycled glass, beads, recycled jewelry, and other bits & bobs. There are pieces that say “Expect Miracles”, ” Live Out Loud” , “Peace”, “Passion”, “Journey”, “Strength”, and “Serenity”. It also features a heart and angel wings, hidden throughout the design.

Hello! My name is Beth and I am a Spoonie! I love to create…always have. I am a mosaic artist. Fibromyalgia has interfered with my ability to cut glass and tile. So, I changed my style to fit my ability. Maybe I work a little slower, but I keep going, and that’s what is important. I also taught myself, with help from Pinterest, to crochet. It relaxes me, and keeps my hands working, fighting against painful Arthritis. Other things I love to do include art journaling, painting, and sculpting in polymer clay.
It is important to educate others about our “invisible illnesses”, so they can have empathy. It is also important that we don’t give up on creating, or on ourselves.
