A set of 5 mini skeins (20g each) of superwash, fingering weight sock yarn (75% merino, 25% nylon).

This set of tonal semi solids would look fabulous together in a scarf or a pair of socks and will look equally impressive in knitted and crocheted pieces.

Ombre, fading from deep purple to baby blue.

The merino gives natural elasticity and its 21 micron fibres which are not itchy or scratchy on the skin. The yarn is perfect for socks but can equally can be knitted into scarves, shawls or even baby garments which will feel soft next to the skin.

Care Instructions: Machine washable on a wool program ideally using a wool detergent at 30?C or below. Dry flat, do not sun dry or tumble dry. Avoid wringing and twisting.

?PLEASE NOTE This set has a slight fault that affects two of the mini skeins. One of the plies has not taken the dye, producing a barber pole effect. I like it! But, it does not repeat throughout the 5 skeins, hence the reduced price from £17 to £14. Please look carefully at the photos to avoid disappointment 🙂

I have been a maker since my teens and have moved around the country between Sheffield, London and finally landed in Caerphilly, making as I go.

I love to knit, spin, dye, weave and now . . . Teach!

I sell hand dyed yarn, hand spun yarn, spinning fibre, knitted gifts and gifts for knitters, spinners and crocheters. Everything is made by me here in Caerphilly where I also hold spinning classes.

When I’m having a dyeing day I love working with merino sock yarn especially bright colours, mini-skeins and matching sock sets.

As well as being a seller I love to teach my other passion – hand spinning. I run workshops and classes here in Caerphilly and at other venues in the area, using carding equipment such as hand carders and drum carders and helping people learn to spin on drop spindles and my (NINE!) spinning wheels. I really love seeing learners reach their “AHA!” moment when the yarn “happens”. It’s like riding a bike – once you can do it, you can never not do it!

Creating has got be through some of my darkest times with chronic pain, spinal surgery, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and P.O.T.S. I have had to spend a lot of time on my own and immobile and so having something to show for all that time, like a lacy shawl or a newly spun skein of unique yarn has been the silver lining in the cloud for me.

Check back often as I list new items as I make them and if you are interested in learning how to spin hop over to my site at

Hope to see you soon!
