I am a single full-time carer for one of my children who has osteogenesis imperfecta, also known as Brittlebones, and moderate autism.
His condition means that he can break a bone from very little, or no trauma.
I started to work from home as a small craft business, as it’s not possible to leave my son unattended at all in case he fractures something.
He is also educated at home, with the full support of our local LEA, as he is very high risk from respiratory infections due to his condition, so I am also currently tutoring him through a BTEC.
I have found that my craft has really helped us as a family, and has been instrumental in lowering stress levels!
