Why not spoil yourself or somebody you care about to a wonderful handmade fudge feast?
All our fudges are hand crafted. Just good old fashioned fudge like granny used to make in her kitchen.
A taste of luxury. A wee bit of indulgence. And lots of wonky uneven shapes because no machines are used so everything is hand cut
And because there are so many wonderful flavours to choose from, and too many difficult decisions to make in life, we’re given you the chance to pick your own selection to suit your own tastes, keep the whole family happy, or to give as a gift to somebody . Please note some flavours may be temporarily out of stock
Pick any 4 bars of fudge – we currently offer 35 flavours but sadly 7 are out of stock till after the holidays

(It doesnt have to be 4 different ones – you can have 4 the same if you’d rather or any combination in between). Just let us know in the special requests box which 4 to pop in for you. If you can’t decide just leave the special requests box blank and we’ll send you a random selection. Keep checking back as we’ll be adding more flavours all the time
Each bar has a net weight of 100grm
Obviously the Fruit and Nut contains nuts, as does the bakewell, rocky road and peanut butter
And although all reasonable measures are taken to avoid cross contamination all are made in a kitchen that uses nuts.
The Crafty Crofter is a small family run business based just outside Bonar Bridge in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland. The Murrays moved to a 78 acre croft in Sutherland back in 2003. The plan was to rear animals, grow food and become a cross between The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie. Initially to fund the dream Gordon worked off-shore in Industrial Rope Access. Following a "near miss" accident his back got progressively more sore, but with the help of osteopaths and chiropractors he kept going for a few years. Over time (and after adding a couple of kids and several dogs to the family) we got the devastating news that Gordon had broken his back in an industrial accident and not only would he not get better and be able to carry on with the grand plans, but would in fact get worse over time. He suffers from chronic pain and has huge mobility issues. Sitting in a car for any length of time causes pain induced blackouts and on a bad day he cant stand up, so a "normal" job is out of the question. As he deteriorated we reluctantly sold off all our live stock (we loved those Highland cows and wild boar) and looked for alternative ways to use our resources. One Christmas in an effort to get lovely presents for those dearest to us (without spending much money) Gordon made some lovely things from wood. Everybody seemed delighted with their handmade gifts, so he got the confidence to experiment and try some more ideas out. Friends started asking him to make things for them, which led us to start up a Facebook page. One thing led to another and as the orders started to come in we converted an old steading building into a workshop (his Emporium) and invested in some big boys toys to make the work easier. No computers, no automated processes - everything done by hand. Now he works as and when he feels able - even when that means it's 3 in the morning when his machines are running. The next step was to start attending local craft fayres. Although Gordon can't make the day trips to attend, Julie his wife and the kids Daniel and Pixie are happy to pitch in and man the stall. It's a great way to get instant feedback on our new ranges and to pick up ideas of what people would like to see added to our selection. Originally all our core range of products were made from wood. We have lots of our own home grown sustainable trees (and a chainsaw and our own sawmill). Sometimes we buy in tropical hard woods to make things extra special. We've invested in a workshop full of big boys toys, from planers, thicknessers, band saws, bench saws, table saws, scroll saws, every type of sander imaginable .... and our new addition - a wood turning lathe. We do most of our makes to order - everything from trinket boxes, key rings, fairy houses and memorial urns for pets and pyrography. If it's made form wood, we can do it. Recently as Gordons condition has deteriorated we've been diversifying - adding to our brand with ranges of home made jam and now our own hand crafted fudge. While Gordon and Daniel are busy in the woodwork shop, Julie and Pixie make sure the kitchen always smells divine, concocting new flavours and perfecting new recipes. The Fudge side of the business is really taking off for us and looks like it will soon be able to replace the wood makes. Its an exciting time as we learn and grow ... although constant access to the fudge kettle is not good for our waistlines !
