If you would like to know more about the Dragons of Shropshire, or if you have any questions about the sculpture, please feel free to message me, I dont bite. Unlike the dragons!
Made with a mix of Shropshire and merino wools in shades of grey and white, painstakingly needlefelted over a wire armature until the dragon emerged.
Dragon has blue glass eyes, and measures approximately 30cm from nose tip to tail.
Dragon has iridescent sparkly horns, talons and wings. Wings are hand cut, hand drawn stiffened silk coated with the iridescent sparkles.
Dragon is fixed via wire to a handmade needlefeted stack of ‘rocks’ that are securely fixed to a 2cm thick slice of locally sourced silver birch that is felt backed to better protect surfaces
Dragon is clutching a small pebble – these dragons are known to present special rocks to other dragons they deem friends. Perhaps this one intends to gift a pretty pebble to you?
Sculpture is approximately 29cm tall.
The perfect quirky gift for any dragon lover.
Important Note: Dragons are collectable works of art and therefore unsuitable for children in 14years.
