Cornish Jacob Sheep fleece, hand felted soap.
£5.00
Please don’t remove the woolly covering, as this is what helps the soap to last longer. Use as a normal bar of soap; rub between your hands to make a lather. This might take a little while on the first usage.
The felting process continues as you use the soap, so the woolly covering gradually shrinks.
Using the soap by directly gently rubbing on your body, will provide a gentle exfoliating action, and help to remove dead skin cells.
The wool is from a Jacob sheep and has been hand processed. The carded wool or roving, is then felted over a small bar of locally sourced soap.
The woolly blanket makes the soap bar less slippery and last longer. The covering acts like a wash cloth.
Wool is naturally anti bacterial, and so wont hold germs.
The wool acts as a natural exfoliator.
A Jacob sheep’s coat is piebald, ranging from black, to creamy white on each sheep. The soaps therefore have a range of colours.
Some of the fleece has been hand dyed.
Some soaps have blues, purples, greens or even some red fleece, but each one is unique.
The unique pattern on each soap does not alter as you use the soap. The soap can be a piece of bathroom art. Once the soap is finished the wool casing makes an excellent gentle scouring pad.

My daughter is now 20, and life became a real struggle for her, in 2014. She has autism. In 2014 she did not know this. She masked any difficulties, not realising why life was so tough for her in and out of school. With all of this struggle her anxiety became so overwhelming she became unable to verbally communicate to any but her parents, and a few close family and friends. Life became a very worrying and uncertain time for her.
Her struggles still continue. Making choices, including many life skills required on a daily basis, are sometimes just too much. When anxious she can become ‘frozen’, so not only is she unable to verbally communicate, but she is unable to physically move, or use any other method of communication.
She has always enjoyed craft activities. As a young girl, she would always be creating something. Unfortunately the mental freedom to design and create has also become a struggle, but the flair has never quite disappeared.
It became obvious that Rebecca needed much more input than I could give to her and work ,so I became her full time carer.
