Description

Tibetan Silver hollow butterfly scarf slider ring with ornate imitation gemstone Turquoise rhinestone flower pendant. FREE POSTAGE.

The Tibetan Silver bail has a hollow butterfly design that allows the colour of the scarf to show through. The ornate oval flower shaped pendant, also in Tibetan Silver, has a filigree design with turquoise blue rhinestones and a central imitation gemstone Turquoise stone.

These slider scarf pendants make a lovely accessory and are useful too, a stylish and modern alternative to a scarf clip! They can be worn in a variety of ways to keep your scarves securely in place. Simply thread the scarf through the rings on the bail and drape or tie the scarf however you desire (some different examples of how to wear it in the images below – scarf not included). They are perfect for use with lightweight scarves such as silk or chiffon. Depending on how you wear the product on your scarf, it may accommodate up to medium-weight scarves too.

The butterfly bail measures 43mm wide by 33mm high by 20mm deep, with the ring hole size (for the scarf to pass through) measuring 18mm by 19mm. The oval flower pendant measures 26mm (W) x 33mm (H) making an overall drop length (including the bail) of approximately 6.5cm long.

These would make a great gift for Mother’s Day, for a relative or friend of all ages, or simply as a little treat for yourself! Why not collect a few so that you can accessorise a variety of different outfits?!

*TURQUOISE*

Turquoise, a stone ranging in colour from blue to green to yellow, is filled with wonderful patterns of brown and black matrix that are composed mainly of copper deposits.
The beauty and history of turquoise is hard to match! Steeped in history and intrigue, it is truly a captivating stone. It has been used in religion, art, trade, treaty negotiations and of course as treasured jewellery to many kingdoms and peoples. Whether you study ancient Egyptians, Chinese Dynasties, Aztec Mythology or Native American people, it seems clear that turquoise has always been and always will be considered a stone of life, beauty and good fortune.

▪Metaphysical Properties▪

Turquoise is one of the official birthstones for the month of December, and is heralded as the stone of communication. It encourages enthusiasm, thus inspiring new projects and bringing to light undiscovered artistic abilities. Turquoise also provides understanding and encourages attention to detail while attracting prosperity and success.
The sprawling lines of coppery matrix provide a large amount of energy to its wearer. This may be one reason why the stone has long been prized as a powerful talisman with healing properties. It is believed that turquoise can help balance the blue throat chakra, enhancing the ability to communicate while increasing resistance to viruses, helping to relieve sore throats and allergies.

I am a qualified radiographer but unfortunately had to give up my much loved job in September 2011 when my lung problems really kicked off (after suffering multiple pulmonary emboli), resulting in frequent and lengthy hospital admissions.

One Christmas I was stuck in hospital, in a sideroom on my own, for 6 weeks so I started making earrings to pass the long lonely days. I then taught myself to make bracelets and necklaces and gradually moved on to bag charms and other gifts. These were very popular with staff, visitors and patients.

I carried on with my new hobby once at home as I was still unable to do much due to my severe lung disease leaving me very short of breath on exertion. Over the last 5 years my mobility has gradually declined and I am currently bed/wheelchair bound due to instability in my joints, as a result of Ehlers-danlos Syndrome, and my lungs only functioning at 25%. I’m on oxygen 24/7 and I suffer from chronic pain and fatigue.

Despite all this my brain is still active and therefore I get bored easily and so doing my jewellery helps to pass the time! I have many complex health conditions however I still try to do the best I can, although pushing myself to get out of the house one day results in a few days rest just to recover!
