Stylish artwork printed on a white mug featuring a bearded man with a positive message. This is designed to support men’s mental health and encourage them to open up and discuss what’s on their mind. I created this artwork myself in honour of a friend, Karen, whose partner, Darran lost his battle with his mental health and recently took his own life. I am a big supporter of mental health causes and awareness and I firmly believe that more needs to be done to end the stigma. Men should be able to feel comfortable talking about what’s on their mind. Darran was know for his epic beard hence all 4 designs featuring iconic beards and moustaches. The main design features a silhouette of a man with a beard and piercing and says ‘#loveYOUmore you are loved more than you know’. #loveYOUmore is what Darran would say to Karen and so this is included in his memory. That silhouette was drawn by Karen’s daughter and represents Darran. The other designs are designed by me to represent men in general.
This listing is raising money for the Lions Barber Collective, a charity providing a non-judgemental safe space for men to share, open up and or offload. This charity has been chosen by my friend, Karen in honour of her partner Darran, to raise awareness of how important it is to seek help when you are struggling.
I will donate £1 from every sale to Lions Barber Collective. There’s more information on the charity at the end of this listing. Together, we can raise awareness and funds for this valuable cause. I really want to see people buying and downloading this artwork and the others in the collection) and printing them as posters, cards and postcards and using them to start a conversation. They can be downloaded then printed unlimited times and displayed, gifted and posted to your friends and colleagues to let them know that you are there for them. Even if they haven’t mentioned that they are struggling, a card like this could allow them to feel safe talking to you and knowing there is no judgement. Reaching out and being there for each other is crucial.
In the United Kingdom, there are an average of 16 suicides per day. Suicide is the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the country. That is a heartbreaking statistic and I want to do what I can to help.

This is a custom design by myself not cheap mass produced clip art printed in bulk in China. I print these to order in my home studio. You can even have them personalised with your own name or text.
