I’m called Nanny, Mum and sometimes Pam lol – I grew up in Wales, moved around the Country a lot, settled in Devon and retired back to Wales.
When I gave up my job to be a full time carer to my long term partner Kel it was a shock to the system – from managing a busy retail outlet to seeing no one from one week to the next. I had always crafted (having designed knitting and crochet patterns as a hobby since a teen) and thankfully my love of crafts has kept me sane over the last 5 years.
I rarely go out on a daily basis so can’t manage to do craft fairs and the like, but do have an online presence, and when I discovered Conscious Crafties I found a whole new group of like minded friend. I have made some exciting minor achievements in my little business since it was established 3 years ago – its a slow process as some days are good and others are not (the crafting mojo sometimes vanishes or oh’s health needs mean I have no spare time to craft) but I hope to continue to strive for new goals and make lovely new products to share with you all.
My first ever designs were tea cosy covers – and although I spent many years making baby gifts (for my 4 children and now 16 grandchildren) it is the Cosy that always draws me back.
Currently I am working on a new line of mug cosy covers and coasters to launch for Winter 17.
My other loves (other than crafts) are of course my grandchildren, two kittens and a scamp of a 6 month old Schicon (bicon x shitzu) ….after returning to Wales last year I am now lucky enough to have a decicated (pet free) craft room where I can play and walk away when needed.
I hope you will enjoy a visit to my store and looking through my makes (I’ve included some of my Knitting Pattern Designs there too). PAM x
