Grandidierite And White Zircon Sterling Silver Ring
Size J
One off piece
This was bought as a setting many years ago before i was able to make my own rings. I’ve set the tanzanite into it myself. This does have the companies initials stamped inside where I bought the setting from, but it was bought as a blank setting.
Grandidierite is a rare mineral that was first discovered in 1902 in southern Madagascar. The mineral was named in honor of French explorer Alfred Grandidier (1836–1912) who studied the natural history of Madagascar.
The silver in my pieces come under the exemption weight, which is less than 7.78g, so therefore, they don’t require a hallmark. Anything over 7.78g, requires a hallmark by law.
